I wonder what my life would be
If someone else, instead, was me.
I wonder what I'd choose to do
If you were me and I was you.

Would I be happy, tearful, sad
Or would I just be plain old mad?
Would you take away my pain
Or make me live it all again?

I think I'll choose to stay as me
'Cos even if I choose to be
Mad right to my very end
At least I'll know you're still my friend.
